Take me out to the ballgame…
We decided last minute to join some friends at the Charleston Riverdogs game and I am so very glad we did. Ethan stayed with Grandma and Grandpa and Kendall went on her first mommy and daddy date. She had a blast and it made me so happy to watch her little eyes take in all of the excitement and watch the fun she was having. This was her first game but surely won’t be her last.
She wanted some cotton candy before we even got to our seats and she couldn’t sit down fast enough to have it opened. She was good at sharing with her friends too. Phone break and self portraits!
I tried multiple times to get a picture of my baby and me and this is all I got (don’t mind my blue tinted lips from the cotton candy). Can you see her finger almost jabbing me in the eye in the third picture? She was over the pictures!
And a stadium cup of diet coke (only a few sips) to finish off the night and wash down the cotton candy while watching the fireworks. The fireworks were too hard to catch on my camera but she sat so still for the entire display. I can’t wait to take her back to another game. What fun!!

So pretty!
This is the first dress that she has worn and is actually “aware” it’s a dress. She looks so pretty!! I don’t typically put her in a dress to go to day care because I’m too worried she is going to play too rough and get bumps and bruises on her sweet legs and knees. Thankfully she made it all day with clean knees and no scrapes to be had.

Kendall’s Party….sneak peek
Today we celebrated Kendall’s birthday with family and friends. My family surprised me with an early birthday present, a new camera, so I was able to take some pictures at the party. Thankfully, my sister took some pictures as well seeing as I was running around a lot. I’ll post more in another blog with more detail and better lighting. The professional photographer took a quick break to be with the birthday girl (and Jack at times). Jack stayed busy with Uncle Adam, Grandpa and Grandma and of course toys while mommy helped with pictures. Thanks to you too, Jack! Hmm, maybe Aunt Michelle can teach Kendall her skills? Thanks for all of your help, Aunt Michelle!
One of Kendall’s gifts was a rocking horse. She loved it! It’s a bit bigger then the one she got for Christmas but this didn’t stop her from rocking and playing. I had to pry her off of it.

Toys, toys and more toys
It’s official! I am working four days a week instead of five. I still will be full time but now I have a full day, during the week, to spend with our baby girl. I couldn’t be more excited! After breakfast, it was time to play. Kendall has figured out how to pull each and every toy from her basket and I think it is the cutest thing. Each toy gets a turn and then it’s on to the next one.I tried all my funny noises, holding one of her toys and snapping my fingers but I could not get Kendall to look at the camera. I had to pretend cough in order for her to look at me and this is the look I got. Kinda like, “why are you bothering me mom? I’m busy with my toys!” Too cute!
I couldn’t hold her interest too long, so back to the toys she went. I sat back as she played and just smiled. It makes me so happy knowing I will be able to spend a whole day with her during the work week. I can’t wait for what is in store for our Thursdays, just me and my girl!

Six month photo shoot
Kendall had so much fun during her photo session. I brought her to the Horseshoe on the campus of USC and there were so many things to take pictures on and near. It will be fun to take her back when she is able to walk and explore the area. Everything was so pretty. Thank you yet again Aunt Michelle! You really have a special talent. Three more months and I’ll be back for you to take pictures all over again.
Love,
Kendall

Thank you!
To my wonderful grandparents for allowing all of us to come stay in your home. The time we share together is so important and special! We have created yet another fun filled trip of many memories and look forward to the trip again next year. It makes me so happy to know we have added one more companion to the annual trip. Kendall will be walking all over your house next time! Watch out great Grandma and Grandpa!

Three month photo shoot
This past Saturday we headed to Columbia for Aunt Michelle to take Kendall’s three month pictures. My sweet girl cooperated so well and these are just a few of the sweet smiles and faces she gave the camera. She’s so pretty if I do say so myself! The blanket in this pictures was mine when I was a tiny baby (you can see the colors below).
Jack let Kendall borrow his silver rattle as a prop and she almost didn’t want to let it go. You should have seen the face she gave Aunt Michelle when she tried to take it out of her hand to take some pictures without it. She sure can put a tight grip on things!
Jack wanted to get in some pictures with his cousin and Kendall was happy to share the spotlight. I absolutely love the one on the left. I think Jack is saying,”don’t worry cousin, I will teach you all I know about this great big world. We’ll make a great team! I love you!”
When Jack was a baby, Michelle took some pictures of him with this pillow in the background. I love the look of those pictures. It was my special request to have Kendall take some of the same.
I can’t believe three months have passed already. I remember when we were in Columbia for her first photo shoot at day 13. There will be many more photo shoots to come.
Thank you again, Aunt Michelle for taking pictures of me. You are the best photographer I know!! I can’t wait to see what my pictures will look like at my 6 month photo shoot! Mommy told me she already knows what I will wear!
Love,
Kendall

Three months old
The months just seem to keep passing so quickly. It has been an incredible three months and it continues to amaze me that we were blessed as Kendall’s parents. She makes our heart melt with her great big toothless smiles and by just being the sweet baby she is. This past month our baby girl has started to do many new things. One of her favorites is to blow bubbles. She is really good at it and entertains herself quite easily by doing so. She is rolling from side to side while she is on her back and it is fun to watch but I don’t want her to roll completely over yet. She is still our little baby. When she is on her tummy, she has now figured out how to roll down over her shoulder onto her back. She mostly rolls to the right when she is on her tummy but has made it to the left a few times. Kendall has also found her hands and feet and studies each toe and finger closely. Sitting upright is now something she really enjoys and she will let us know if she isn’t up high enough. The new view has worked out well for her as she is now able to play in, and enjoy her exersaucer, with some support from a blanket, and sit in her Bumbo without leaning to the side. She is incredibly strong for three months old. We think she might have a six pack by the time she’s six months old from all of the ab workout she does when she lays on her back. I think she thinks she might miss something if she keeps her head on the floor especially when she gets a diaper change.
It has been such a joy being Kendall’s parents and it will only get better and better as the days go by. She is such a happy baby and smiles constantly. She continues to eat every 3 to 4 hours and goes to bed around 9:30 or 10:00 pm. Thankfully she has slept through the night for about a month and wakes at 6:15 am just in time to leave for the babysitter's house. Kendall and I have adjusted to the whole work/babysitter thing and it is getting easier as the days go by. We can’t wait to see what Kendall will do next.

Two months old
Our little girl is yet another month old. It is crazy how time flies. I will be going back to work this month on the 8th and I am not looking forward to leaving this sweet face for an eight hour work day. She continues to bring such joy to our lives with her great big smile and ever so pleasant cooing. Sometimes I even catch a little bit of a laugh.Kendall-
You have learned so much this past month. You have started to lift your head and neck up when mommy and daddy hold you on our lap and prefer to be in a sitting position most of the time instead of laying down. When you have your diaper changed, you even like to lift your little head off of the floor or changing pad, you look like a little turtle. You have also started to bounce up and down when we hold you in a standing position on our laps, it makes you so happy to use your little legs. Nursing is still going great and you eat about every 3-4 hours. Every so often you have a bottle and you do just fine with drinking that too. You have been sleeping from about 10pm-6am for the past two and a half weeks. We are so thankful for that! You still have short nap periods most of the time but every once and a while you will sleep one to two hours for your naps.
It is so exciting to see all of the new things you accomplish each month. We love you sweet girl, and we are continuing to fall in love with you more and more every day. You are so loved!
Love,
Mom and Dad

Our baby is growing….fast
I love waking up every morning to your sweet face baby girl! Watching your eyes get adjusted to the light is too cute. You are accomplishing new things every day and I always hope I am camera ready to capture each one of them. You are starting to smile so much more every day and they seem to get bigger and bigger. Your daddy and I love you so much and it is amazing how much our love grows for you as the days pass. Yet again another week has passed and you are 6 weeks old today! I am so thankful we were chosen to be your parents! I think I might say how much we love you and how thankful we are over and over again! I feel so blessed to have you in our life, sweet girl!
Love- Mommy and DaddyYou make faces during tummy time and you almost don’t fit in your Moses basket anymore.
I had fun trying to pose you for some 1st Valentine pictures! You were a good sport.
You sit on the couch with us and hang out with your cat lovey when you are in the bassinet. Thanks for the lovey Grandma Singer.
The bassinet has been used in my family for around 80 years. I am so happy to be able to use the bassinet for our first born daughter. Traditions are very meaningful in our family. I like to think of my Grandma laying my mom down in the bassinet for a nap as I now do to my very own baby girl. Many babies through four generations have had their turn in the bassinet.

Some of my favorites
I am definitely not a professional photographer but I am trying to capture as much of Kendall as I can while she is still our “little” baby. Here are some pictures from two different cameras and my cell phone. She’s so sweet, we just love her to pieces!

A Stork’s visit
When Jack was born, one of Michelle’s friends gave her the gift of a stork’s visit, which was the baby’s footprints on a ceramic plate. I wanted the same thing for Kendall so Aunt Michelle gave us the same gift. We were able to get Kendall’s footprints the day she was born and I am so happy we have this memory. Thanks Aunt Michelle!

One week old
It’s hard to believe a week has already come and gone. Everyone keeps telling me how fast time flies but I don’t want our baby to grow too fast! I love being home with her and just looking at her makes my heart melt. I thank God everyday that we were chosen to be her parents! Your daddy and I love you sweet girl, so very much!
