Hippity hoppity….

I couldn’t resist taking Kendall to visit the Easter bunny.  I thought she might fuss when she was held but she did great!  It was getting close to feeding time but you would have never  known.  She was pretty intrigued with the decorations around  the bunny so we weren’t able to catch a smile.  After the Easter bunny I went to buy lil’ miss her first Easter dress. What a fun day we had!image

Flowertown Festival

What a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon, then to be outside at the Flowertown Festival.  This is an annual event in South Carolina that many people make sure to attend.  We decided to brave the crowds and see what the festival had to offer.

The Charleston Police department marched down the closed street playing the bagpipes. Boy, did people get out of their way in a hurry!imageWe also heard the voices of some Native American men as well as the sounds of their instruments.  There was a Hunley exhibit that caught the attention of many people. Of course this was not the real Hunley but still quite interesting. imageKendall enjoyed all of the sites and sounds and was even able to take a few short naps. We snapped a few pictures while she was awake.imageAfter the festival we stopped for a quick trip for a snack on the patio of Margaritas.  Lindy and Granddaddy joined us for the day and by the end of the afternoon Kendall was out for the count.   She is learning more and more about this great big world every day!  image

Quick trip

We hung out with Uncle Adam and Regal for lunch on Sunday before they headed back to Hilton Head.  Scott and Ashton got married on Saturday and Uncle Adam was a groomsman.  You love to watch Regal and Sadie play together and you think Uncle Adam is a pretty funny guy.   We try to seem him as much as we can when he comes in town.  He always makes you laugh and smile.  Uncle Adam should be done with school in December and then we won’t have to worry about him traveling back and forth so much on the weekends.  Maybe we should just invest in a plane so his visits don’t always have to be so quick.  We enjoy our time with you when you are here Uncle Adam and always happy to hear that you make it home safely.  imageWe love you!

Spring is here!

So today starts the first day of spring so Kendall and I were outdoors for as much of the day as possible.  She woke up with a stuffy nose but it didn’t seem to bother her much.  We went for a long walk with Grandma and each time we peered into the stroller this is what we saw. What a sweet face! Daddy was golfing so we hung out with Grandma and Grandpa for some of the afternoon.imageAfter our walk we played outdoors in the Bumbo and watched Sadie and Regal play in the backyard.  Kendall likes her sunglasses although they don’t fit perfectly yet.image Once we left Grandma and Grandpa’s, we ran some errands and then you ate.  When you were finished eating we played outside some more. You played in the exersaucer for a bit and then we took a walk around the pond in the sunshine.  I think you really enjoy the outdoors.image

After we were done with the outdoor fun, we came inside for some more play time. The play mat is becoming something you really enjoy.  It allows you to have room to stretch your legs, wave your arms and wiggle side to side.  You are starting to focus on everything your eyes can see.  I love watching you learn day after day.  I just wish I knew what your little mind was thinking sometimes.image

I had such a fun day with you lil’ miss.  The springtime is going to bring so many new sights and sounds and I can’t wait to experience them all with you.  The world is waiting for you sweet one!

This is fun!!

This past week at the babysitter’s, Kendall tried out the exersaucer and really enjoyed it. Ryan put ours together and she had so much fun. There are so many new things to look at and learn about. She focused in on each toy to see what it did, with mommy’s help.imageKendall couldn’t take her eyes off the music maker but especially liked the dinosaur puppet.image”See, I can stick my tongue out too, Mr. Dinosaur!” This is a new trick for lil’ miss.image It was such a nice spring day so we decided to enjoy some fun in the sun.  I think Kendall enjoyed the sun more then her new toy. Maybe she’ll love the outdoors  as much as mommy and daddy.image

Princess Emory

Saturday we headed out to Mt. Pleasant to celebrate Emory’s FOURTH birthday.  It was a princess party so what more could you ask for then Cinderella.  All of the little girls were so excited so see Cinderella!  Even Kendall had to get a picture with the special guest.  Kendall wasn’t quite big enough to wear a princess dress like the other girls but she still had her party outfit on.  What a pretty girl!image imageThe Cinderella cake was the talk of the party.  The girls couldn’t wait for Emory to blow out the candles so the cake could be cut.  A Cinderella doll even greeted each guest at the door.  imagePizza and juice kept each little princess content and then it was time for cake. Check out Emory’s face. She was ready to blow out those candles!    imageMake up was applied, hair was done, movies were watched, pictures with Cinderella were taken and cake was eaten. Whew, what a day in the life of a princess!  And to make a princess’ day complete, a goodie bag with make up and pretty jewels to put in your  hair.  Thanks for coming to celebrate with us Cinderella! image We had a great time  at your party, Emory!  We hope you have many more happy birthdays and may all of your fairytales come true!

Two months old

Our little girl is yet another month old.  It is crazy how time flies.  I will be going back to work this month on the 8th and I am not looking forward to leaving this sweet face for an eight hour work day.  She continues to bring such joy to our lives with her great big smile and ever so pleasant cooing.  Sometimes I even catch a little bit of a laugh.imageKendall-

You have learned so much this past month.  You have started to lift your head and neck up when mommy and daddy hold you on our lap and prefer to be in a sitting position most of the time instead of laying down.  When you have your diaper changed, you even like to lift your little head off of the floor or changing pad, you look like a little turtle.  You have also started to bounce up and down when we hold you in a standing position on our laps, it makes you so happy to use your little legs. Nursing is still going great and you eat about every 3-4 hours. Every so often you have a bottle and you do just fine with drinking that too.  You have been sleeping from about 10pm-6am for the past two and a half weeks.  We are so thankful for that! You still have short nap periods most of the time but every once and a while you will sleep one to two hours for your naps.

It is so exciting to see all of the new things you accomplish each month.  We love you sweet girl, and we are continuing to fall in love with you more and more every day.  You are so loved!

Mom and Dad
