I couldn’t wait to give Kendall a REAL bath after her umbilical cord fell off. Sponge baths just weren’t as fun. She really has started to enjoy bath time and really likes to have her hair washed. It almost looks as if she will have curly hair when her hair is wet. We will see! She does not like to be cold however, so I quickly wrap her up to keep her warm. Here are a few pictures of her just relaxing her tub.

Some of my favorites
I am definitely not a professional photographer but I am trying to capture as much of Kendall as I can while she is still our “little” baby. Here are some pictures from two different cameras and my cell phone. She’s so sweet, we just love her to pieces!

A Stork’s visit
When Jack was born, one of Michelle’s friends gave her the gift of a stork’s visit, which was the baby’s footprints on a ceramic plate. I wanted the same thing for Kendall so Aunt Michelle gave us the same gift. We were able to get Kendall’s footprints the day she was born and I am so happy we have this memory. Thanks Aunt Michelle!

2 week well check
Kendall checked out healthy as can be and the doctor was very happy with her growth and development. She is now 9 pounds 8 ounces and 21 1/2 inches. We are very happy with the pediatrician we have chosen, Dr. Jennifer Nordby and she was so good with Kendall. She was very thorough and gentle and took her time answering all of my “new mom” questions. The next visit will include shots, I don’t think I am looking forward to that one.

New addition
With Kendall’s arrival, a few family members were able to add new titles to their name. Michelle was able to become an AUNT and Mark is an UNCLE for the first time. My nephew Jack, now has a cousin and Adam is an uncle again! We are excited to add a grandchild to my parents and Ryan’s parents growing list. Randy and Mollie have another niece and Sullivan and Emory have another cousin. I can’t wait to one day, have Kendall be a big sister!

One week old
It’s hard to believe a week has already come and gone. Everyone keeps telling me how fast time flies but I don’t want our baby to grow too fast! I love being home with her and just looking at her makes my heart melt. I thank God everyday that we were chosen to be her parents! Your daddy and I love you sweet girl, so very much!

The day after
Well, night one in the hospital was quite rough. We didn’t get moved to our SEMI-private room from labor and delivery until almost 1 o’clock in the morning. The hospital was completely full so we had to share a room with another post partum couple but only for one night. I think that mom and dad were trying to compete with each other to see who could snore the loudest. Needless to say we didn’t get much sleep and it wasn’t because of Kendall. We were able to move to a private room around noon and it was such a relief. We had a few family visitors today which was nice and relaxing. Sorry, Grandma, Aunt Michelle, Granddaddy and Lindy, we forgot to get pictures with all of you but there is plenty of time for picture taking.Grandpa loves you!Uncle Adam was so excited to be an uncle again.Great Aunt Debbie was happy to meet you.

She’s here!
After a long day at the hospital, Kendall arrived at 10:29pm. She weighed in at 8lb 12oz and was 20 inches long. I was able to handle about an hour and a half or so of contractions and then I asked for the EPIDURAL. Once the epidural was placed at 12:30 pm, I was a happy camper. We had visitors throughout the day which made the time fly by. Thanks to Aunt Michelle for capturing all these precious pictures.
And here we go…
Today is the day! We are off to the hospital for a scheduled induction to meet little Miss Kendall Harper. It is 5:30 in the morning and we are due to be at the hospital at 6:00 am. We are so excited and cannot wait to become parents! Ryan and I both slept great through the night and are now ready for the fun to begin! One last picture before we go.
